- New chapter for Hornby Library Newsline, 27 March 2024
Staff at Hornby Library are preparing for the big shift to their new premises at Matatiki Hornby Centre, in Kyle Park. Hornby Library on Goulding Avenue will close at 6pm on Thursday 28 March and will reopen at the new pool and library community centre on Friday 19 April, from 3pm. The customer services desk at Goulding Avenue will remain open until 5pm Friday 19 April, before also shifting across to Matatiki. - State-of-the-art library equipment provides opportunities for the community Newsline, 21 March 2024

Spreydon Library is closing for six weeks while Christchurch City Council refurbishes the building. The library, located at 266 Barrington Street, will be closed from 1pm on Saturday 23 March until Sunday 5 May. The new South Library has been gifted a name - Ōmōkihi – connecting the building back to its riverside site.
