Big Bargain Book Sale is on this week!

Our 2025 book sale is on at the Pioneer Recreation and Sport Centre, 75 Lyttelton Street, Somerfield, Christchurch.
Bag a bargain!

Friday 21 March 9am to 7pm
Saturday 22 March 9am to 4pm

Bargain price books for all ages

Book sale prices are:

Fiction and non-fiction $3
Young adult and children's books $1
Magazines 20 cents each (5 for $1)
Premium books (including books on art, landscape, and gardening) are available at marked prices
Large print $3
Audio-visual items such as DVDs and CDs $3.

Hot Book Sale tips 💡

Spread the word to your friends and whānau, especially those who love books and bargains.

It doesn't matter when you come to the book sale - we won't run out of books! New stock is coming out all the time.
You can pay by cash, EFTPOS, payWave, or credit card.
Bring your own bags or buy a limited edition Gavin Bishop artwork tote bag for $20.

Getting to the Book Sale

You can walk, wheel, cycle, bus, or drive to Pioneer. Buses include the Orbiter, and routes 1, 44, or 60.

The Pioneer carpark will be busy during the Book Sale, so allow time to get a park. You will need to follow the one-way signage into the main carpark.
