Assembly Required during Music Month

The bill posters have been out in force at the Shirley Library and that means one thing only: Music Month.

2014 New Zealand Music Month brochureThis year, at the Shirley Library, we have a real treat for anyone who visits on Sunday, 18th May from 2-3 pm. There will be a free live performance by Assembly Required. Consisting of Sam Hill (vocals, guitar) and Simon Tester (guitar, mandolin), Assembly Required will be performing music that will be on their new album.

Check out their music on YouTube. I did and I think they truly are “a high energy, highly entertaining, in your face duo who never fail to deliver crowd cheering, toe tapping, foot stomping performance”.

Unable to get to Shirley on the 18th? Then try and get along to one of our libraries to enjoy one of our headline acts.

I love competitions and during May you have the chance to win some great prizes. There are three ways to enter:

While you are at it, why not read other New Zealand Music Month posts on the blog or view music images in our collection?
