Girls Zone

https://my.christchurchcitylibraries.com/consent-form/Girls Zone is one of the Learning Centre after school programmes where girls, aged 10 to 13 years, extend and expand their computer and technological skills.

Places are limited to 12 students that can attend for two terms. This programme is available at the South and Upper Riccarton Learning Centres.

Girls Zone at the South Learning Centre starts at 3.30pm and finishes at 5.00pm on Mondays.
At the Upper Riccarton Learning Centre it starts at 4.00pm and finishes at 5.15pm on Mondays.(Starting week 2 of each term)

Girls Zone is split into 2 modules as follows:

Module 1 - Digital Photography

Students will learn the art of digital photography. They will explore the basics of how to use a digital camera, take good photos and edit them on the computer.

Module 2 - Animation and Film-making

Students explore stop-motion animation and film-making. They use iPads, webcams and a range of movie-making computer programs.

Enrolment, Fees and Consent forms

Enrolments will be accepted with a completed consent form and payment of term fees on a first-in basis.

The fee is $20 per term, this covers costs incurred such as colour printing or CD Roms as prescribed by the course tutor.
