Redwood Library will close Saturday 27 July 1pm; set to reopen Monday 26 August 10am

Redwood Library will close for improvements at 1pm on Saturday 27 July. It is scheduled to reopen on Monday 26 August at 10am.

The Redwood Library will be closed for improvements from Monday 29 July 2019 for four weeks and is scheduled to reopen on Monday 26 August 2019.

This upgrade is part of a planned schedule of library repairs and rebuilds around Christchurch.

We’ll be replacing the Heating and Ventilation system and repairing the roof. Minor repairs and refurbishments will also be done throughout the building.

A mobile library vehicle will visit the library car park twice a week on Wednesdays from 10am–11am and Fridays from 3pm–4pm.

Items can’t be returned to Redwood Library while it’s closed, but all Christchurch City Libraries items may be returned to any of our libraries around the city and Banks Peninsula.

Wi-Fi will also not be available at Redwood Library.

From 29 July, any hold items requested for pick-up at Redwood Library will instead be available at Papanui Library in Langdons Road, unless another site is requested.

The nearest alternative libraries are Papanui Library at 35 Langdons Road, Fendalton Library at 4 Jeffreys Rd and Ōrauwhata: Bishopdale Library and Community Centre, Bishopdale Shopping Centre, Farrington Avenue.
