Access FamilySearch at selected libraries

Family history researchers make use of FamilySearch at Tūranga.

Did you know that a number of dedicated Family History computers at libraries can be used to access the FamilySearch database? Our Affiliate Library status means we can provide access to FamilySearch's digital genealogical collections that are otherwise accessible only through a FamilySearch centre. These centres are part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and provide free access to a vast collection of historical records but with less convenient opening hours than libraries.

The library customes pictured above had this to say,

”It is great that Tūranga is a Family Search Affiliate library - it makes life so much easier for us to come at a time that suits us both.”

Family History computers are available for use at Tūranga as well as Fendalton, Lyttelton, Shirley and Upper Riccarton libraries and Te Hāpua: Halswell Centre.
