This sounds scary, but it is surprisingly good fun too. Dorian pulls together movies, history, religion, and science in service of a story about stories about the end of the world. It runs the gamut from the Book of Revelations to nukes to Melancholia (there are a lot of comets in this book). Aotearoa alert: We feature a bit, as an apocalypse-escaping destination, and also for the dystopian movie classic The Quiet Earth. |
