Top picks

The Loves of my life by Edmund White, read by Joel Froomkin (Libby)

The Loves of My Life is the culmination of a legend's life and work, a delightful and moving tour of over seventy years of being unabashedly gay and in love with love in all its forms.

The Bookseller at the end of the world by Ruth Shaw, read by Nicolette McKenzie [uLibrary]

This popular New Zealand memoir intersperses tales from Ruth's tiny bookshops in Manapouri with bittersweet and funny stories from her adventurous life.

She's always hungry by Eliza Clark, read by Eliza Clark, Chipo Chung, Kevin Shen, Natalie Simpson, and Sam Stafford [Libby]

If you loved "The Substance", the visceral body horror in some of the short stories is perfect for you.  But there is lots more to enjoy - modern life and love, sci fi, and epoch straddling vampirism.
