Kei aku nui, kei aku rahi, mihi manamanahau ki ngā kaituhi mō o koutou kaha ake ki te whakataetae o Tuhia mai tō whare!
This message goes out to all our whānau who joined us over the month of Hepetema to help find our new whare designers of 2026. To our artists and designers, my biggest and most overwhelming thanks to you all.
We saw over 400 entries come in and flood the spaces in our libraries - some adorned the walls, some were highlighted in this week's features, and some were celebrated with small wins of engagement.
This year we also welcomed in a fourth category for our 18+ so that big kids also got to see what whare designing could be like. We saw over 40 entries come in with this new category. We also need to give a shout out to our various school groups and ECE centres that joined in on the competition too!
