Culture Galore

Culture Galore is a multicultural festival that celebrates Ōtautahi Christchurch's diversity with food, arts and crafts, and music and dance performances. It is on from noon until 4pm on Saturday 18 February 2023.

About the festival

Culture Galore is an annual event at Ray Blank Park celebrating Christchurch’s diverse ethnic culture in a fun family atmosphere.

Performances and activities

Stage performances range from Japanese drummers to colourful traditional dances and songs from Indonesia, Korea, Philippines, Poland, China, Fiji, Russia, Thailand, Mexico, Bangladesh and many more. There are also have-a-go activities, such as flax weaving, face painting, soft archery, bouncy castles, police speed radar, and a fire truck and evacuation challenge.

You can sample cuisines from one of the 40+ food stalls.

Event entry and activities are free, but there is a cost for food and craft items.

The event is supported by the Waimāero Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood and Waipuna Halswell-Hornby-Riccarton Community Boards.
