Games and gaming

Games combine fun and learning. The library has resources on games from computer games to cards, mah jong to crosswords. Our childrens’ computers have a selection of internet and CD-ROM games for kids to play on at the library. If you are interested in playing games with others, CINCH (Community Information Christchurch) lists indoor games clubs.

You can enjoy gaming at some of our libraries, and we also have games available to borrow in our children’s CD-ROM collection. Some of our libraries also have jigsaws to borrow.

Computer and video games

Video games at your library

You can play video games such as Xbox, Playstation and Wii at many of our libraries. Our Children's computers also have games and our Learning Centres run Minecraft Clubs for kids.
