About Tabletop Tūranga

Tabletop Tūranga is a celebration of imagination, strategy, and community — a space where gamers of all ages and experience levels can connect, compete, and collaborate.

Born out of a love for board games and a desire to bring people together, our event is more than just play — it’s about storytelling, laughter, and shared experience. Whether you’re a seasoned strategist, a casual card-slinger, or just curious to explore something new, there’s a table for you at Tūranga.

Held at Tūranga in the heart of Christchurch, the event showcases a wide range of games — from beloved classics to indie gems — alongside workshops, demos, and special guests from the local gaming scene.

We believe games have the power to spark joy, creativity, and connection. That’s why Tabletop Tūranga is designed to be inclusive, welcoming, and fun for everyone.

This event is proudly supported by the Southern Cancer Society, whose sponsorship helps us create an accessible and engaging experience for the whole community.

Come roll the dice, make new friends, and be part of the story.
