The Selwyn photograph collection was a curation of a collection of photographs of the current Selwyn district that appeared in the Weekly press and the Canterbury times between the 1860s and the 1920s. The collection was produced as a joint project between Selwyn District Council and Christchurch City Libraries. The images were photographed from the newspapers by Stephen Wright.
Initially presented as an independent collection, these images have shifted from the legacy collection to Canterbury Stories and can now be found in the Canterbury Times and Weekly Press collections of newspaper extracts, by doing a tag search of CCL-Selwyn. More images from the Selwyn District Council area can be found by searching for the local area, e.g. Lincoln, Coalgate, Darfield, Hororata, Tai Tapu.
