Names of those embarking are listed alphabetically by surname. Information recorded includes full name, army number, rank, unit, marital status, last New Zealand address, place of enlistment, occupation, name and address of next-of-kin. There is a page of errata at the beginning of each volume.

There is no index to all volumes. If you do not know the date of embarkation, you must check each volume separately.
