Main entrance at South Library currently unusable due to weather

Visitors are asked to use alternative entrances at the river and Colombo Street ends of the building.

Temporary repairs to the glass in the main foyer of South Library have resulted in water leaking due to rain. This entrance is not currently safe for library visitors to use. Signage is in place directing visitors to use the alternative entrances at the Heathcote River and Colombo Street ends of the building.

Further rainy weather is forecast for Christchurch in the coming days so use of the alternative entrances will likely continue for several days.
