Youth & Cultural Development presents a Youth Week FRESH - Festival of Diversity

YCD presents a week full of fun, dance, sports, workshops and more for FREE.

Events include:

Saturday 7 May - BEATMAKING Workshop at Tūranga TSB Arena
Saturday 7 May - DJ 101 Workshop with DJ Danny-ill at Tūranga TSB Arena
Monday 9 May - URBAN MOVEMENT with Summer Studios
Tuesday 10 May - HIPHOP ISO with Tik at YCD
Thursday 12 May - BREAKDANCE with Common Ground at Spark Room Tūranga
Friday 13 May - TAMA MAI SAUTE with Albany at Tūranga TSB Arena
Saturday 14 May - POOL PARTY at Te Pou Toe Toe Linwood
Sunday 15 May - LASER STRIKE at Laser Strike Moorhouse Ave

Youth Week at Christchurch Recreation and Sports Centres

Christchurch Recreation and Sports Centres are giving everyone aged 12-24 years old 2 for 1 entry to pools during Youth Week 7-15 May 2022! For everyone who brings a friend, their friend gets in for free. Check out their Facebook events page for info about inflatables events – it’s going to be fun!

Bounce
Bounce is a bunch of tips, ideas and inspiration to help you live life well. Bounce is a New Zealand Red Cross project that partners with young people for young people.

Ministry of Youth Development
The Ministry of Youth Development (Te Manatu Whakahiato Taiohi) promotes the interests of young people aged between 12 and 24 years inclusive. The Ministry encourages and assists young people to be involved in the social, educational, economic and cultural development of New Zealand, both locally and nationally.

Youth Parliament
The Youth Parliament takes place every three years and 2016 was the most recent. It was an opportunity for young New Zealanders to learn about New Zealand’s democracy and influence public decision-making.
