Elsewhere in New Zealand

Most tombstones in cemeteries have been transcribed by the New Zealand Society of Genealogists.

Tuakiri | Identity, Level 2, Tūranga, holds these transcripts on microfiche, New Zealand cemetery records. The index is a bound volume which lists the cemeteries under each county. Each cemetery has been assigned a number which indicates which fiche the transcript appears on. At the beginning of each cemetery transcript is an alphabetical list of surnames of those buried in the cemetery.

As with the Canterbury transcripts, if there is no tombstone for an individual buried in the cemetery, there will be no transcript.
