About the Osmo

Osmo explores educational play (spelling and counting for example) by using iPads and physical objects. It uses a reflective AI system to track objects in the real world, allowing children to interact on the screen using physical pieces, like drawing with markers or arranging letter tiles.

About the Sphero RVR

Sphero RVR is a fast and nimble mobile robot shaped like an all-terrain tank. It's designed as a programmable platform for beginners, students, and hobbyists. Use an iPad to choose colours, sounds, speed, distance, and angle.

About Christchurch City Libraries

Christchurch City Council operates 20 libraries across in Christchurch and Banks Peninsula, as well as two mobile library vans that support neighbourhoods without library services. The libraries run programmes and events, including some that support local and national celebrations, for example KidsFest and Heritage Week. In addition to annual and one-off events, we have ongoing classes and programmes for all ages.
