Around the world, we are seeing increasing protest in response to authoritarian creep, repression of human rights, climate catastrophes and conflict - and a corresponding increase in state measures to control or regulate protest. Lisa Woods (Amnesty International Aotearoa New Zealand), Peter Field (University of Canterbury) and Iranian New Zealander Farah discuss the right to protest, focussing on recent protests in Iran, the United States and elsewhere.
