Need some help with the Summertime Reading Club challenges? Find out how the Library can help you:
Do you need help with the Country Map?
1 National Geographic Kids is available on our website. You'll need your Library Card number and PIN to use it from home.
2 Find the He Pukapuka Māori section in your Library and find some books published in Te Reo and English. Your Librarian can tell you which ones are published in both languages.
3 Find an unusual place to read a book, try somewhere outside, a public place, upside-down, in a nook or cranny at home or at the playground.
4 Draw a picture of you reading your favourite book. Here's some kids books about drawing and drawing faces if you'd like some inspiration.
5 There are lots of ways you can listen to a story at the Library:
- Find someone to read you a story.
- Listen to an audiobook at TumbleBook Library.
- Borrow one of our audiobooks from the Library or online.
- Come to one of our Libraries and attend a Summertime Reading Live event.
6 Just take a look at our new Kids page.
