Gale Encyclopedia of Alternative Medicine
The Health and Wellness Resource Center in the Source includes the full-text of this encyclopedia which you can browse through an A-Z. Each page includes sections on diagnosis, causes, treatments and allopathic treatments. There is also a full section where you can search for drugs and herbal remedies by name and the information includes drug and food interactions, dosage and potential side-effects. Health Source Consumer edition
This source gives you both full text and citations for alternative medicine across a wide range of academic journals, magazines and other sources. Adjust the date range slider to limit the results to more recent articles. Where articles are not available as full-text we may be able to interloan the articles for you. Alternative Medicine subject guide
The Health Reference Center Academic is another source that searches a wide range of journals, magazines, books and newspapers for relevant articles, images and even video. There will be many citations and abstracts but you can use the check-box at the side to receive only the full-text articles, or ask us to interloan titles of interest. Nursing and Allied Health Collection
This is another collection from Gale which has more of a focus on nursing and other health professionals such as chemists. It defaults to results from magazines which do tend to be full-text but more results are available from Academic Journals which you can select on the left.
