Auahatanga Space at Matatiki Hornby Centre
The Auahatanga space at Matatiki Hornby Centre will be open on Wednesday 24 December 2025, then will be closed over Christmas and New Years. Normal hours will resume on Tuesday 6 January 2026.
Service hubs
Akaroa, Little River, Lyttelton, and Beckenham/Pioneer service hubs will also be closed throughout this period.
Service hubs at Matatiki Hornby and Te Hāpua Halswell will remain open apart from Christmas Day, when all our centres are closed.
Other service centres will have limited opening days over the period.

Te Hāpua Halswell Summer Pool
Te Hāpua Halswell Summer Pool is open from Sunday 16 November 2025 until Sunday 29 March 2026. Check the pool opening hours.
Matatiki Hornby Centre

Christchurch City Council
Te Hononga Civic will close from Thursday 25 December until Friday 2 January, and will reopen on Monday 5 January. Customer Service and Building enquiry counters in Civic will be closed.
