I read mostly nonfiction. Though when I was a kid I was quite the opposite – back then I was into science fiction and adventure stories. Ironically it was a popular fiction author – Willard Price – who converted me to nonfiction. His Adventure series of novels had a perfect mixture of great suspenseful storytelling and fascinating facts about exotic animals - “Whale Adventure”, “Tiger Adventure” “Gorilla Adventure”… after a while I became less interested in the fictional elements of these stories and more interested in the factual.
These days I read across a wide and diverse range of subjects - travel, politics, biography, history, medical, humour…
