Culture Galore is a multicultural festival that celebrates Ōtautahi Christchurch's diversity with food, arts and crafts, and music and dance performances. It is on from noon until 4pm on Saturday 17 February 2024 at Ray Blank Park, 14 Gothic Place, Ilam.
Performances and activities
Stage performances range from colourful traditional dances and songs from Indonesia, Korea, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, China, Fiji, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Ireland, Bangladesh and many more. Have-a-go activities include flax weaving, face painting, soft archery, bouncy castles, police speed radar, fire truck and evacuation challenge, and more.
You can sample some of the appetising ethnic cuisines from one of the 40+ food stalls.
Event entry and activities are free, but there is a cost for food and craft items.
The event is supported by the Waimāero Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood and Waipuna Halswell-Hornby-Riccarton Community Boards.
