Book a Creative

Book a Creative form

Book a creative connects you with one-on-one help with a library staff member to learn how to design and make something.

What to expect

At a Creative Learning Session you will be met by a specialist who will work with you one on one to help you learn how to realise your creative vision. They will remain with you for the entire session and will give you as much help as possible. We will give you the resources and help necessary to learn for yourself, rather than doing it for you. If you would like someone to design and make something for you, then you should seek the services of a professional designer.

Who is this for?

This is suitable for people of all ages who have something specific that they would like to learn how to design and make using our creative technology, but are not sure how to get started. In order to make the most of your session please let us know as much as possible about what you would like to achieve so that we can put you with the staff member most likely to be able to help.

How many can I have?

As these sessions are staff-intensive, to be fair to everyone, we can only take bookings up to a total of two hours per customer. If you need more than this, we may be able to arrange that at a cost. Or, alternatively we have a number of drop-in Creative Times available across our network that may suit your needs.

Is there a cost?

There is no cost to make the booking, to use our equipment, or for staff time, but if you use and take away any chargeable materials that we have provided, there will be a cost for those, based on the cost of replacing them.

Bookings and Availability

We will endeavour to respond to your enquiry within 72 hours. With limited staff and spaces available, we will do our best to find a time to suit. Please allow at least five working days between your first point of contact and the day and time your would like to come in.
