As part of the Flower Power Party events happening at Christchurch City Libraries, some of our funky libraries are hosting a macramé making event.
At Linwood Library on Thursday 21st November 5pm to 6.45pm, join staff by dressing up in your totally groovy 60s or 70s outfit – bust out those funky flares, terrific tassels and psychedelic accessories.
You will be provided with all the materials you need to make your own mini macramé wall hanging and learn the basic techniques and knots that you need to design your own unique piece of ace art. Dudes and Dudettes aged 14+ are most welcome at this event – bookings are required (phone 9417923), but are totally free baby!
There will also be funky tie-dye headband braiding/hippie headband making materials available for all ages to make (Linwood event only).
