What does the refurbishment entail?
The current boiler at Lyttelton Library needs to be replaced. It is old, unreliable and expensive to run. Work to decommission the boiler and remove the chimney starts on Monday 13 February, but won't impact visitors until Monday 20 February, when the building will close to allow the HVAC and ducts to be installed and the existing radiant heaters to be removed.
