Ngā Reo o te Ao / World Languages - Auahatanga | Creativity, Level 4
The languages available in Tūranga's Ngā Reo o te Ao / World Languages collection are:
Afrikaans, Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Polish, Russian, and Spanish.
Some children’s material is available in these languages in Family Place, Hapori | Community, Level 1.
There is also a small selection of magazines in the following languages - Afrikaans, Chinese, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese and Russian.
Niuean, Rarotongan, Samoan, Tokelauan and Tongan language titles are in the Pasifika collection, Tuakiri | Identity, Level 2. A large proportion of the Pasifika language material is for children. Some titles for children in these languages are also in Family Place, Hapori | Community, Level 1.
Te reo Māori titles for adults and children are in Waruwarutū, Tuakiri | Identity, Level 2. Some children’s te reo Māori titles are also in Family Place, Hapori | Community, Level 1.
World Language collections are also available in some community libraries.
